#MaxFreedomJamz: Imax Media celebrates 6th March with fans (Photos)

Date:

Imax Media, operators of Max TV, radio, and online media, yesterday organized its maiden Max Freedom Jamz to celebrate the 67th Independence Day with fans and viewers at the forecourt of its studios in Accra.

Dubbed “Max Freedom Jamz,” it was celebrated under the theme “Back in the 1950s” and was, among other things, to entertain, educate, and bond with viewers, listeners, and readers while providing the audience with a platform to build harmonious relationships among themselves.

Speaking with Max.com.gh in an interview on Wednesday, the General Manager of Imax Media, Ricky Anokye, said the event was the first of its kind to help his outfit build an effective relationship with their audience.

He said the 67th Independence Day celebration would be meaningless if Imax Media did not organize an event to celebrate Kwame Nkrumah’s achievement with the people and to remind them of their quota towards national development.

Ricky stated that the event to remind Ghanaians of their culture and to imbibe in them the spirit of patriotism had come to stay, and it would be commemorated every March 6 as Imax Media’s quota to educate and celebrate with Ghanaians the milestone of independence since the 1950s.

The event saw various musicians like Dada Hafco and musical bands treating audiences to refined Highlife tunes.

It also saw poetry recitals from the talented young poet Nakeeyat Dramani, who, through her poetry, reminded audiences of Ghana’s independence and how well Ghana has done to preserve peace and orderliness in the country.

There were many activities that climaxed the occasion, including fashion shows, exhibitions of local cuisines, and traditional games including draft, ludo, and oware, among others.

The audience was also refreshed as they danced their way to commemorate the toil of “our forefathers” in the attainment of independence.

The day has been instituted to climax the teaching of history and patriotism and, above all, create a platform for the audience to bond and interact. It is also to create a forum for partners of the iMax Media Group to bond.

He mentioned that iMax Media has so many outdoor activations like Shine, My Own Remix, Drinks and Grills, just to mention a few.

He expressed his gratitude to the sponsors that came on board just days ago, which underscores their trust in the Max Brand completely.
