LALIGA returns with the football that captivated the world

Date:

Following a summer defined by the FIFA World Cup, LALIGA welcomes the 2026/27 season after 24 of the 52 players who featured in the World Cup Final belonged to LALIGA clubs during the tournament, highlighting the competition’s influence on world football.

The FIFA World Cup once again demonstrated LALIGA’s importance within the global football landscape. World champions, emerging talents, and many of the tournament’s standout performers will once again compete every weekend in LALIGA EA SPORTS and LALIGA HYPERMOTION.

This prominence reflects a model built on talent development, competitiveness, and the continuous work carried out by clubs season after season.

An ecosystem that has established LALIGA as one of the world’s leading football competitions while continuing to shape the future of the game through innovation, technological advancement, and the ongoing professionalisation of the competition, both on and off the pitch.

Under the Welcome to our Fútbol campaign, LALIGA celebrates the beginning of the 2026/27 season by highlighting everything that makes football in Spain unique: the excitement of returning to the stadium, historic rivalries, the emergence of new talent every season, the passion of supporters and the stories that make every matchday unforgettable.

As the centrepiece of the campaign, LALIGA will launch a new audiovisual spot to mark the start of the season. Together with a range of creative assets tailored for digital platforms, broadcasters, partners and LALIGA’s own channels, the campaign will invite fans around the world to once again experience our football.

The 2026/27 season will also feature the PUMA STELLAR NITRO™ as LALIGA’s official match ball. The new ball will accompany clubs and players throughout the competition, featuring a design created for the new season that reinforces LALIGA’s visual identity on the pitch.

The partnership between LALIGA and PUMA thus continues to play an important role in the competition’s image and in one of its most recognisable elements: the official match ball.
