Kweku Darlington sees feature with Daddy Lumba a greatest accomplishment

Date:

Fast-rising artist Kweku Darlington has disclosed that he will bow out of the industry if he gets the chance to record with the legendary music maestro Charles Kwadwo Fosu, known in showbiz circles as Daddy Lumba.

According to him, a collaboration with Daddy Lumba would be the biggest uplift of his career.

Speaking in a recent media interview, Kweku Darlington said it has been a long-held dream to record with Daddy Lumba, who is acclaimed as the greatest musician ever from Ghana.

“I would love to record with Daddy Lumba, the great man,” he said.

Although he understood the intricacies, he was still hopeful and asserts that he may quit music if that dream collaboration materialized.

“Have you ever heard of any artist featuring Daddy Lumba? It doesn’t happen. It’s got to be Daddy Lumba featuring another artist. I’ve had talks with people in his circles who tell me Daddy Lumba loves my music but is unsure of a collaboration,” he stated.

Kweku Darlington insisted that working with Daddy Lumba, who has a high reputation, would boost his career better and he might even retire if those dreams come to pass.

“At first, I dreamt of working with Okyeame Kwame, which materialized, so Daddy Lumba is next. I may even retire from music if it happens. Working with someone the country considers the goat will not be an easy achievement because I want to be counted among the best.”

Daddy Lumba is considered one of Ghana’s topmost lyricists who has churned out countless numbers of hit songs that address almost every occasion in life.
