Ghana’s head coach, Otto Addo, has expressed strong confidence that his team will secure a victory against Sudan in their upcoming match for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers. The highly anticipated encounter is set to take place on Tuesday, October 15.
The two teams faced off for the first time last Thursday at the Accra Sports Stadium, where the match ended in a frustrating goalless draw. As they prepare for this crucial rematch, Addo remains convinced that the Black Stars should have emerged victorious in the initial meeting.
Reflecting on the previous match, Addo stated, “It’s part of football; sometimes you’re lucky, sometimes you’re not. It’s all part of the game. However, it’s unlikely that we can be unfortunate three times in a row. If we bring the same attitude and beliefs to this game and remain mentally strong, I’m very sure we will win.” He added that the previous match has boosted his confidence in the team’s ability to perform well.
The Black Stars will face Sudan in Libya, with kickoff scheduled for 13:00 GMT. As the pressure mounts, all eyes will be on Addo’s squad to secure the crucial three points needed to keep their AFCON hopes alive.
