Mahama Ayariga, the Member of Parliament for Bawku Central, will replace Dr. Cassiel Ato Forson as the Majority Leader in Ghana’s Parliament, MAX News can confirm.
Sources within the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) revealed to max.com.gh that the leadership change follows President Mahama’s nomination of Forson as Finance Minister.
Ayiriga, a seasoned legislator with expertise in parliamentary rules and fostering collaboration, is set to take on the role. With extensive political experience, including serving as Minister of Environment, Science, Technology, and Innovation, as well as Minister of Information, Ayariga is well-positioned to lead the majority caucus.
His persuasive debating skills and government experience make him a strong choice to navigate the NDC’s majority in Parliament.
