Celebrated movie star Jackie Appiah says her decision to join the movie industry stemmed from her love for her role model, Belinda Naa Dede Adjaye, known in the film industry as Adwoa Smart.
According to her, she was the biggest fan of Adwoa Smart and desired to be like her.
In a viral video following the final funeral rites of filmmaker Beverly Afaglo, the beautiful actress was seen exchanging pleasantries with Adwoa Smart at the funeral grounds.
“You are my biggest fan. The way I like you is funny. We have never met before,” she said.
The act quickly drew admiration online, with fans praising both actresses for showing honour, love and respect to each other.
Adwoa Smart became a household name and a mentor figure for many young actors after a beautiful display of talent on the television drama series Obra.
Despite battling health challenges in recent years, she remains an icon of resilience and talent in the industry.
