FC Samartex knocked off Nations FC from the summit following a 1-0 victory over defending Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC.
The Timber Boys exhibited the talent and strength of championship material as they added to the woes of the champions at the Nsenkyire Stadium on Sunday afternoon.
Goalkeeper Kofi Baah and forward Baba Hamadu’s return to the starting lineup for the home side provided a much-needed boost against their opponents.
Francis Gyetuah’s composed finish in the 34th minute for FC Samartex proved to be the winner as they showed high mental fortitude and held on for the win.
