ELECTION 2024 UPDATES: Kwame A Plus Clinches Gomoa Central Seat

Entertainer-turned-politician Kwame Asare Obeng, popularly known as Kwame A Plus, has been elected as the Member of Parliament for Gomoa Central in the Central Region.

Running as an independent candidate, he defeated the NPP’s incumbent MP, Naana Eyiah Quansah, and the NDC’s Kwame Deen Lawson.

With results from 123 polling stations collated and five remaining, Kwame A Plus began celebrating on the streets, confident of victory. He also took to social media to declare his win hours after polls closed, ahead of the Electoral Commission’s official announcement.
