#BlackStarsAbroad: Alexander Djiku raves about Jose Mourinho

Date:

Black Stars Central defender Alexander Djiku has sung the praises of legendary Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho, as he believes Fenerbache has a huge chance of winning trophies with him in charge.

.

Mourinho joined the Turkish giants after leaving Italian side AS Roma after leading them to UEFA Europa Conference League glory and the final of the Europa League in 2023.

Fenerbache were beaten by just three points to the 2023–24 Turkish Super League title by fierce rivals Galatasaray, and now they are making a statement of intent by bringing on board serial winner Jose Mourinho.

Djiku was in action for the Yellow Canaries on Wednesday, July 10, in a friendly match against Croatian outfit Hadjuk Split.

The Ghana international played 79 minutes for Mourinho’s side, courtesy of an 85th-minute goal by Durdov.

“Jose Mourinho is a great tactician, and there’s no trophy he has not won in his career. He has won it all. A football legend. We are lucky to work with him and benefit from his experience. He will help us win trophies,” he said to the club’s media.

Jose Mourinho and his charges will commence their league on August 11 against Adana Demirspor.
