Attram De Visser KO PAC Academy to advance to FA Cup semis

Date:

Attram de Visser Sporting Club have knocked out PAC Academy from the 2024-25 MTN FA Cup in an absolutely dramatic match in Kumasi.

The two Division One sides engaged in a tough quarter-final encounter on Saturday, March 29, at the Baba Yara Stadium, looking to be the only lower division side to go all the way to the final.

Evans Ofori handed the Offinso-based PAC Academy the lead after scoring from the penalty spot in the 63rd minute of the game.

Faisal Shaibu came close to doubling the lead for PAC Academy, but his attempt was timely deflected for a corner.

PAC Academy couldn’t hold on to their slender lead as De Visser scored a stoppage time equalizer through Gabriel Matumassey to send the game into a penalty shootout.

In came the penalty-saving hero goalkeeper, Abdul Manaf Ibrahim, who gave De Visser the advantage in the shootout by stopping two attempts from PAC Academy to advance his side through to the semi-finals on 4-3.

Attram de Visser owner and former Black Stars of Ghana player Godwin Attram’s dream about his team representing the country at the 2025-26 CAF Confederations Cup continues.
