The experienced Kassim Mingle Ocansey, head coach of Swedru All Blacks, has vowed to never take over a relegation-threatened team again.
Conversing with Nana Darkwa Gyasi on Max FM’s Sports Pack show, the coach, who doubles as Ghana Black Galaxies’ head coach, bemoaned his challenges at the club.
Faced with the daunting task of keeping his team out of relegation, Coach Mingle admitted to the pressure of keeping them up, mostly because he had been in such a situation.
He further expressed his disenchantment at his players’ struggle in front of goal, which he believed is the reason for their low position on the league table.
Star player Rudolph Mensah, who proved to be instrumental for the team’s success in the 2024/25 Division One season, though trying his best, has failed to live up to expectations.
Citing their away game against Accra Hearts of Oak, where they gave up a two-goal lead, coach Mingle drew attention to the tactical indiscipline of his players.
Despite all these, there still remains a glimmer of hope of beating Kumasi Asante Kotoko on the final day to stay up.
