Renowned fashion designer Oheneba Yaw Boamah, known in the creative space as Abrantie the Gentleman, has expressed the need for the organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards to be intentional about the red carpet of the award scheme.
According to him, there are lots of things that go on during the red carpet section that do not project designers and the celebrities rocking fashionable attire.
Speaking in an exclusive interview on the Max Morning Show in Accra after the just-ended 27th TGMA, Abrantie the Gentleman underscored the need for the event organizers to create a theme for the red carpet section to enable patrons to dress in a particular way.
”Red carpet is a night event, so you must first ask yourself, what does the outfit you’re wearing suggest? Is it good to wear it in the evening? Thank God that some people might be wearing certain things that do not meet red carpet standards; that is why it’s good to have a theme. This year, we are wearing glitz because in the evening when you wear glitz, it adds up to the beauty,” he stated.
