EPL 2025/26: West Ham Nears Drop

Date:

Newcastle hammer West Ham United to drop into the danger zone in the English Premier League.

West Ham now trail Tottenham, who have a game to spare, by two points.

At least a draw might be enough for Tottenham to retain their place among England’s elite leagues.

Portuguese manager Nuno Espírito Santo arrived at the club with a point to prove after the cruel dismissal from his former club, Nottingham Forest.

He replaced the underperforming Graham Potter, who has now found success with the Sweden national team.

This would not be the first time the Hammers drop to a division lower. The drop will force the club to sell a number of its core players after posting a loss during the season.

West Ham will need both Chelsea and Everton to beat Tottenham in the final week of the season while they mind their own business.
