Head coach of the Ghana Premier League’s newly promoted side FC AshantiGold ’04, Abdul Karim Zito, has revealed a crucial change he made at the club.
Zito, by mutual consent, left Asante Kotoko to join the Access Bank Division League side FC AshantiGold ’04 in mid-season.
Formerly Bekwai FC, AshantiGold ’04 were struggling with goal-scoring before Zito joined.
According to the former MTN FA Cup winner, he engaged the playing body upon his arrival to know their problems.
Once it came to bare their struggles, Zito worked tirelessly with the striking department to ensure a change of fortunes for the club.
His hard work is the success of the team seen now after successfully booking their ticket to the big time courtesy of a 4-1 home win over Skyy FC.
“When I came, I asked the players what their problem was. They told me that they couldn’t score goals. So I worked with the strikers, and they improved,” he said on Max FM’s Sports Pack show.
