As part of President John Dramani Mahama’s ‘Reset’ agenda, the Ablekuma North Municipal Assembly conducted a cleanup exercise at the Mallam market in Accra.

The week-long exercise was led and championed by the Municipal Chief Executive Officer of Ablekuma North, Hon. Kalamu Musa Adamu, on Thursday, January 22, 2026.

Hon. Adamu commended the market women for being cooperative with directives from the municipality and taking sanitation very seriously.

He explained further the need to accommodate traders at unauthorised spots on the pavement by the high street in the main market.

Ruth Banini, the health and environmental safety officer, disclosed the Municipal Assembly’s plans to provide additional refuse containers.
