‎Invest the 20m creative art fund wisely— Amandzeba

Date:

Entertainment and Fashion Critic Amandzeba Phiphi Smmyth has called on creative art fund management to invest the 20 million cedis fund allocated to the sector by the government in profitable ventures.

‎According to him, investing in the appropriate sector within the creative art will not only help revamp the sector but will also help the agency make money.

‎Speaking in an exclusive interview on the Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday, Amandzeba noted that various industries under the creative art sector all needed assistance, but the money would go a long way to flourish if it were invested in the movie, music, and art sector.

‎”What’s visible for us is what we have to invest in because football parks are built where there are players. If the government will assess things critically then the movie industry, music, and art are critical areas that the fund can be invested in. Though, there are other industries within the creative art which the government can equally invest in,” he said.

‎Amandzeba lauded the government for the 20 million funds allocated for the sector and underscored the need for fund managers to properly manage the funds to improve and revamp the creative art sector.

‎”For a start the fund is okay because the one who shares the small he has with you will equally spend the huge sums with you. I will plead with the fund managers to do proper management so that this money wouldn’t go to waste, like how sometime ago they disbursed the funds to some individuals in the creative art sector in Kumasi and never accounted for it,” he added.

‎The act, Amandzeba maintained shouldn’t be repeated in order to propel the successive governments to do more for the industry.
