GoldStars to Name Ogum As Head Coach

Date:

Bibiani Goldstars are expected to name Dr Prosper Narteh Ogum as head coach of the club.

The former Asante Kotoko coach is currently handling the Ghana under-17 team, Black Starlets, at the ongoing 2025 WAFU B Championship.

The grapevine has it: a contract has been sent to Coach Ogum. GoldStars are just waiting for the experienced coach to affix his signature to the deal.

Coach Ogum will replace Frimpong Manso, who led GoldStars to their first-ever Ghana Premier League title and was sacked after the first leg of the 2025/26 CAF Confederation Cup qualifiers defeat at home to JS Kabylie.

Following the sacking of Frimpong Manso, Nana Yaw Amankwah was named interim head coach and led the team to their worst defeat in an African inter-club competition.
