The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has announced the promised historic GHS 1 million has been disbursed to the Ghana Premier Clubs.
Kurt Okraku, second vice president of CAF and president of the GFA, on July 31, 2025, disclosed the planned package during the outdooring of Adesa Productions as the GPL broadcast rights holder.
There had been widespread reports in the days leading to the kickoff of the 2025/26 GPL season that the clubs were yet to receive the financial packages that would aid their preparation for the new season.
Some clubs, however, confirmed to Max 89.7 FM during a series of interviews on Sports Pack that though they had not received the packages, they trusted in the word of the GFA president, which he had fulfilled.
The investment forms part of the GFA’s long-term strategy to further professionalize the league, create sustainable revenue streams, and elevate the Premier League’s global profile.
Max Online will reach out to some clubs to confirm their receipt of the packages.
