Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum cast a frustrating figure in a social media post following the Access Bank Division One game between Elmina Sharks and Swedru All Blacks.
Elmina Sharks hosted the Zone 2 leaders at the Elmina Stadium on the afternoon of Sunday, February 16, 2025, in an intense encounter.
The game came to a halt as confusion erupted on the field of play when a penalty was awarded for the visitors fifteen minutes into the game.
The home team protested against the legitimacy of the penalty, creating agitation against match officials, which forced their owner, Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum, to go onto the field to calm tempers.
On the account of the GN Bank America owner, Papa Ndoum, match officials appeared unconcerned about the turnout of events, rather questioning police presence.
In a viral video seeming to provide contradiction to happenings per Elmina Sharks’ bankroller post on social media, players belonging to his team were assaulting referee Morrison.
Again, police methods of protecting match officials, lives, and properties at match venues would be questioned by many.
Dr. Papa Kwesi Ndoum vehemently rejected three “macho men” parading themselves as his bodyguards and causing commotion. They are instead believed to be supporters of Swedru All Blacks.
Shockingly, all these occurred on the one-week remembrance day of “Nana Pooley,” the staunch fan of Asante Kotoko who was murdered at Nsoatre, when his team faced Nsoatreman in the Ghana Premier League.
