JUST IN: Kassim Ocansey Mingle now Black Meteors Head Coach

Kassim Ocansey ‘Mingle’ has been appointed as the Head Coach of Ghana’s U23 team, the Black Meteors, the Ghana Football Association announced on Monday, January 13, 2025.

Ocansey, currently the Head Coach of Premier League side Nations FC, succeeds Maxwell Konadu, who departed to join South African National First Division side Black Leopards.

Widely recognized for his expertise in talent development, Kassim Mingle brings a wealth of experience to the role. He previously served as Head Coach of Bechem United, where he earned a reputation for identifying and nurturing emerging football talent.

Mingle’s coaching journey spans academy, colts, and second-tier levels of Ghanaian football, equipping him with a comprehensive understanding of player development from grassroots to professional levels.

As a player, he enjoyed an active career with former top-tier clubs including Dumas Boys of GTP, GIHOC Stars, Sekondi Eleven Wise, and Accra Standfast, playing for eight years.

Known for his blend of experience, passion, and commitment to nurturing talent, Kassim Mingle is poised to inspire the next generation of football stars and elevate the Black Meteors to new heights.
