Manchester United handed PAOK Thessaloniki a much-deserved 2-0 defeat at Old Trafford on Thursday courtesy of an Amad Diallo brace.
The Ivorian winger, Amad, was United’s biggest threat for the Greek side’s defense, especially for Ghanaian international Baba Rahman, who proved to be no match.
Though PAOK had chances of theirs, Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was superb in thwarting their shots on goal.
Amad got the better of Baba Rahman to head a looping ball over the Ghanaian and the PAOK goalkeeper Dominik Kotarski to give Manchester United the lead after 50 minutes of action.
The former Atalanta winger doubled United’s lead in the 77th minute after dispossessing Rahman to send a curler into the net of PAOK.
The English will travel to face Bodo/Glimt next in the next round of the UEFA Europa League.
