BLACK STARS: I am ready for the job – Laryea Kingston

Date:

The assistant coach of the Black Starlets, Laryea Kingston, has expressed his desire to lead the Black Stars of Ghana as their new head coach.

The former Hearts of Midlothian attacker, who has played 42 times for the Black Stars, disclosed his readiness to undertake the role if presented with the chance, as he believes he is qualified to take up the position. “I know the level at which I am now,” he said.

Kingston, whose brother, Richard ‘Olele’ Kingston, was part of the recently dismissed technical team, was part of one of the best Black Stars setups with the likes of Michael Essien, Stephen Appiah, Asamoah Gyan, etc.

The 43-year-old would be looking to join the likes of James Kwesi Appiah, CK Akunnor, and other former Black Stars players to manage the team.
