The MTN FA Cup Committee Chairman, Wilson Arthur, asserts that this is the most exciting Ghanaian football match.
At the Ghana Football Association secretariat on Tuesday, he said this during the round of 16 draw.
The competition gets underway with more than 100 clubs from the Premier League, Division One, and lower divisions.
The owner of Skyy FC believes that this makes Ghana’s best opposition the most unexpected.
“We are in the round of 16 of the most exciting, thrilling competition in Ghana football; the MTN FA Cup competition,” he said.
“If you track the performances, the value of entertainment we’ve served, you’d understand that MTN FA Cup is the most exciting tournament and valuable tournament we have in Ghana football. The tradition will go on.”
The matchup between Asante Kotoko and Aduana FC has been named the most exciting of the round.
The split of the competition, in Arthur’s opinion, guarantees continued excitement.
“At the end of the round of 16, we will see very exciting matches because we’ve zoned the teams into Northern and Southern Zone.
“We will still have the derbies and we will still have the magic. We will focus on pushing and promoting the stars.”
