BROTHERS: Tonight (FRIDAY 29th) On Episode 160

Date:

We’ve had enough of your cruelty. Ramil, dead end! There’s nowhere else to go. They’re right behind us. Jump! Cardo, this is really scary. I’m scared!”

Joaquin the jackass and his lapdogs raid a meth and rain fire upon the place, eventually executing every single crook on site. Later, camp Cardo begin wondering how the jackass keeps taking down drug syndicates so easily. Delfin admits that the jackass’ actions are commendable by the CIDG and Billy speculates that it could be his business rivals whom he’s been getting rid of.

“He’s clearing his name with the media,” Delfin says. “And with the public. And he’s whitewashing all of his wrongdoings.”

At CIDG headquarters, Joaquin the jackass brings in a suspect whom he claims is the head of the drug syndicate he had just taken down. The treacherous gullible Col. Carreon buys into his BS as he actually commends the miserable swine. Soon enough, the media begin making the scumbag even more famous.

Rowena laments over how her miserable husband had ran off with their daughter and Flora offers to have her stay with them at the house since she has no one to return home to. In Bilibid, Cardo calls out Ramil for disregarding their deal of no one getting hurt by having explosives made. Ramil argues that they would have to fight in case they run into trouble.

Flora accommodates Rowena in Cardo’s room. Meanwhile, Cardo informs Miyong about their plan to escape and the old man promises to help them. A moment later, the inmates are made to undergo their morning exercise and the floor plan Cardo had drawn falls out of Jimboy’s pocket. Eventually, the guards send off the prisoners to take their shower and after they find the piece of paper, they deliver it to the Director.

“It’s the prison floor plan,” Acosta grumbles. “Where’d you get this?”

“I picked it up from the floor, sir. After the inmates’ exercise.”

“Someone is trying to escape!”

Jimboy notices that he’s lost the floor plan and the inmates begin worrying over the possibility of the Director having figured out their plan to escape. At camp Crame, Joaquin the jackass begins throwing his weight around since he’s now the new hero against drugs. Supposedly. Team Cardo express their disapproval.

Director Acosta has the guards round up the inmates and he begins striking them blindly with his whip in an attempt to get someone to confess the mastermind behind their plan. After a moment, he redirects his frustrations on Cardo.

BROTHERS

Cardo grabs the rotten official before he can strike. “We’ve had enough of your cruelty,” he hisses.

“Are you defying me?”

Acosta tries attacking Cardo again but our favorite hero parries the attack and begins whooping his miserable ass. Taking it as their cue, the other inmates join in on the fun as they engage the guards. Cardo grabs the Director’s whip and angrily strangles him with it for some time before shoving him to the floor. He then proceeds to find Onyok.

Estong finds Onyok in the cage and he manages to free him, just as Cardo deals with some guards on his way. Ultimately, a guard catches Estong and holds him at gunpoint even with the little boy with him. Suddenly, Cardo shows up and shoves him into a wall, knocking him out cold. Estong then urges him to leave with Onyok. Cardo thanks him and dashes off.

“Stop right there!” a guard calls out, in the company of another.

Cardo stops dead in his tracks. He turns back to see Estong gunning down the two guards. The old man calls out to him to run and another guard comes out of nowhere and shoots him. Cardo looks on in horror as Estong returns the fire before sinking to the floor. Meanwhile, some prisoners engage some officials in a gunfight and Ramil takes out some of them. Cardo is caught somewhere as he tries to escape with Onyok and some inmates come to his aid.

Joaquin the jackass kills Acosta

At the mess hall, Miyong opens the gate for the prisoners to escape while Ramil holds off the guards pursuing them. Once Cardo shows up with Onyok, they thank the old man before proceeding and slipping past the security outside. Meanwhile, Joaquin the jackass taunts team Cardo, asking if they’re not going to salute him and they put him in his miserable place.

“I think you guys should address me as ‘sir’,” so says the jackass.

“Even if you become a General, we are never going to stop until we have completely exposed your true color,” Billy declares. “We’re just building up enough evidence, ‘sir’”.

The despicable Director orders his men to shoot to kill all those trying to escape, especially Cardo. Meanwhile, Cardo reaches a dead end with Onyok but manages to find a way down. At camp Crame, Col. Carreon mobilizes his men to respond to the prison break. Jerome receives a phone call about the same matter.

Cardo and some inmates make their way out of Bilibid and the guards hunt them down, firing at will. They gun them down as if they’re diseased pigs or chickens. Some end up dead and others surrender as Cardo continues fleeing with his allies. The rotten Acosta joins the party as K-9s (police/patrol dogs) and rocket launchers are unleashed on the escaping prisoners.

“Ramil, dead end!” Julian calls out.

The Manager joins him and Jimboy who are now staring down at a river several feet below. “There’s nowhere else to go.”

Cardo joins the trio with Onyok hanging onto his back as Acosta and his men and their K-9s are gaining on them.

“They’re right behind us. Jump!”

Julian and Jimboy are the first to go.

“Cardo, this is really scary,” Onyok laments.

“Cardo, we gotta jump,” Ramil urges before going ahead.

“Don’t be afraid,” Cardo says to Onyok. “You won’t get hurt. Hold on tight to me.”

“I’m scared!”

“There they are!” points out an officer a few distance away.

Acosta comes poised like the madman he is. Together with his men, he opens fire a crucial moment before Cardo jumps into the river. A moment later, Cardo and the others regroup somewhere and Jimboy suggests that they split up to avoid getting caught. He mentions that he would be going back to his family in Malabon while Julian, to his in Bulacan.

“And you, Cardo?” Ramil asks.

“I don’t know. But I’ll see my grandma first to make sure they’re not in any danger.”

“I’m going back to Cebu,” Ramil reveals. “There’s someone I need to collect from. If any of you needs my help, you know where you can find me.”

The next morning, Joaquin the jackass calls the Director, asking him to bring Cardo to him so he could finally finish him off. Acosta says there’s no way in hell he can do that because there’s a problem. Meanwhile, Cardo steals some clothes so he and Onyok could change into them to avoid being spotted.

Upon arriving in Bilibid, Joaquin the jackass is very upset to learn that Cardo has already escaped with his foster son. The scumbag throws a fit before mercilessly ending Acosta’s miserable life. A guard by name Mendoza shows up on the scene and the jackass scares him out of taking action before leaving. Later, some other guards come upon the scene and ask if he had seen who had shot the Director. Mendoza replies in the negative.

Cardo boards a bus with Onyok and I begin wondering if he has any money to pay at all. While the family worry about him at home, Joaquin the jackass is throwing a tantrum like someone demon possessed. Verna comes to reason with him but the jackass refuses to quit with his madness and obsession to avenge his father.

Alyana calls Benny on phone to talk about Cardo’s escape and the possibility of him being with Onyok. Later, some neighbors come over to the house to declare their support and loyalty to Cardo and his innocence despite everything the media is saying about him. Flora thanks them for their support. Unknown to them, some lapdogs of Joaquin are spying and lying in wait for Cardo to show up.

“It’s ironic, isn’t it?” Delfin asks Carreon at camp Crame. That’s after he’s shown him the profiles of the fugitives the police are now hunting down. “The man who used to hunt down wanted men is now himself wanted. I hope those people after him do not harm or kill him.”

“I hope so too,” Carreon says. “SOCO updated me with their investigation. One of the casualties was Director Guillermo Acosta.”

Cardo slithers through his neighborhood with Onyok. Upon spotting Flora standing outside, Onyok asks that they go over to her. However, after surveying the area, Cardo tells him that it’s too risky for them both. He talks Onyok into going over alone and the boy reluctantly proceeds. Onyok runs back to Cardo upon seeing his mother at the house, not wanting her to take him back so his miserable husband would abuse him some more. The episode ends as Cardo steals a hat and runs off with Onyok.
