2021/22 GPL: Karela defeats Elmina Sharks 3-1 in week 23

Karela moved up to 7th position in the league rankings with 33 points after defeating Elmina Sharks 3-1 at home in week 23.

Elmina Sharks teased Aiyinese supporters from the start, keeping them on the edge of their seats throughout the first half.

Elmina Sharks’ Michael Ohene Asamoah scored in the 11th minute. In the 16th minute, though, Karela’s Emmanuel Dagadu cancelled out his score.

In the 31st minute, Emmanuel Boakye Owusu made it 2-1 for Karela United. In the 56th minute, Emmanuel Dagadu scored his second goal of the game to give Karela United the three points.

Emmanuel Dagadu was selected NASCO Man of the Match after the game concluded 3-1. (MoTM).

In their next match, Karela United will face Accra Lions, while Sharks will face Kumasi King Faisal.
