FIFA has imposed a transfer embargo on Karela United of the Ghana Premier League.
Due to a debt owing to their former player Sana Camara, the ban will last until the unpaid balance is settled.
Karela United is prohibited from registering or signing any players due to FIFA’s transfer restriction.
The club’s readiness for the forthcoming 2026–2027 season may eventually be impacted by this.
The world football governing body’s letter dated August 17 did not reveal the exact amount owed but highlights the club’s non-compliance with their financial obligations.
“As it appears that, despite the decision, Karela United (the respondent) has not yet complied with its financial obligations towards Sana Camara.”
