The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has assigned match officials for Egypt’s Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) Morocco 2026 qualifier against Ghana, which will take place on Wednesday, October 23, 2025, at the Ismailia-Suez Canal Stadium.
Akhona Zennith Makalima, a South African referee, will oversee the highly anticipated match. She will be backed by her compatriot Nandipha Menze as Assistant Referee I and Mphtaso Mphtaso Mamete of Malawi as Assistant Referee II. The fourth official will be Eness M. Gumbo, a fellow Malawian.
The match will be supervised by Teresa Ouko Calleb from Kenya, who serves as the Match Commissioner, with Alice Damaris Wangari Kimani, also from Kenya, appointed as the Referee Assessor.
The crucial first-leg qualifier is set to kick off at 19:00 local time as both nations aim to secure an early advantage in their bid to qualify for the 2026 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco.
