Otto Addo, the head coach of the senior national team of Ghana, the Black Stars, has slammed his critics, preferring the words of his mentors to others.
There have been rumors of the German-trained Ghanaian gaffer looking to call it quits with the Black Stars following a disgraceful run in 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
Ahead of the final round of the qualifiers, Otto Addo made sure to remind his critics of the calibre of football managers he had as mentors and worked with, namely Mathias Sammer, Jurgen Klopp, and Erdin Terdzic, helping to develop a number of big-name footballers in this generation.
“I trained under Sammer. I trained under Klopp; I was assistant to Edin Terzic, who was Dortmund’s head coach,” Otto Addo said at the press conference.
“They are also critical of some things, but this has much more value if I speak to Jurgen Klopp and he says this or that than somebody from anywhere saying blah blah, this is bad,” he added.
The former Ghanaian international would be hoping to end the qualifiers with his first win against Niger on Monday, November 18.
