Sulley Muntari: My mother was my everything

Date:

Sulley Muntari, a former player for Ghana, has said that he still finds it difficult to understand his mother’s passing even though it has been more than a year.

Hajia Kande, Sulley Muntari’s mother, passed away on May 31, 2021, following a brief illness.

Sulley Muntari’s mother, who is renowned for her devotion to her son, also readily expressed her affection for the game. Hajia Kande encouraged her son’s professional development.

“I haven’t accepted it yet. I don’t think I will because she took a huge part of me. She was my everything, she is my everything and now she has given me the strength to take care of my siblings which I was ready for,” he said on  a YouTube channel .

On May 17, 2002, Sulley faced Slovenia for the first time in a senior match, and he swiftly cemented his position as a vital member of the team as the Black Stars started their campaign for the 2006 FIFA World Cup.

He signed a six-month contract with Ghana Premier League team Accra Hearts of Oak and helped the Phobians win.
