Police probe why NSS person fell from 4th floor of hall at University of Ghana

Date:

The University of Ghana says police have begun investigations into circumstances that led to one of its former students falling from the fourth floor of the Mensah Sarbah Hall annex A.

“The incident is under investigation by the police and the university community will be updated when details of what actually happened are established,” the management of the university said in a statement.

The victim, identified as Wahab Abdulai, is a National Service person resident in the hall.

It emerged last Thursday that Wahab fell out of his room after he slipped while attempting to move from his balcony to the balcony of the adjacent room.

The University of Ghana said the incident occurred around 1:30am.

Explanations given by the University indicate that the victim was unofficially passing the night in the Hall.

Meanwhile, Management has assured that the “university campus is safe for academic life”.

The victim, according to the school, is responding to treatment after he was rushed to the hospital for medical attention.
