Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, kicked off their preparations in Senegal with their first training session on Thursday, April 3, ahead of two upcoming international friendlies.
The team is currently on a nine-day training tour in Senegal as part of their build-up to the delayed 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON).
All 22 players invited by head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren reported for duty, including five returnees who missed out on the February camping in Morocco — the Swede’s first assignment since taking charge of the team.
The Black Queens are scheduled to face Senegal in back-to-back matches on April 5 and April 8 as the team intensifies preparations for WAFCON.
