One person has been confirmed dead in a ghastly vehicular accident on the Somanya-Adukrom highway.

The Kpong Municipal Fire Station responded to a distress call reporting the accident on March 21, 2026.

The road crash, which occurred at Aseseso, involving a police Rhino Kia mini-truck and three occupants, resulted in one dead and two others injured.

The truck lost control while descending the Aseseso Hill from Begoro to Ashiaman, exposing the lack of maintenance on the truck.

Fire personnel rescued two injured occupants and conveyed them to the Krobo District Hospital for treatment.
