Talented songstress Efya has warned musicians who have yet to release songs that featured her on them for the past three years to return to her for a rework to fit the current trend or not release them at all.
According to her, things change as time passes, and those songs today have lost their relevance.
Speaking in a media interview, Efya observed that she has improved on her craft and that the music trend has changed; therefore, it would be better to sell her craft when those songs could meet her current brand.
“Nowadays, it depends on the mic you are using. There is a certain way that I need things to be. The upgrade is not easy. When it’s done, it has to be maintained. It’s not really that bad. It’s no shade or anything. Come, let’s make the song better,” she added.
Efya noted that different kicks and loops come out every year and expressed the need for every song to reflect the present but not the past.
“So if you want to really release the song now and appeal to the ears of the people now, you need to make it something that will be a hit now, not the previous one,” she said.
The “Best in Me” hitmaker also announced that her best collaborations were songs she did with Sarkodie.
“I have worked with almost 120 artists. So the hardest collaboration will be anything that I did with Sarkodie,” she said.
