The former President of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), Kwesi Nyantakyi, has been beaten by a country mile in the vacant seat of the Ejisu Constituency.
Following the death of the constituency’s Member of Parliament in March, John Kumah, the New Patriotic Party conducted primaries to pick a candidate ahead of the by-election.
Kwesi Nyantakyi amassed only 35 votes out of a total of 1080, with Lawyer Kwabena Boateng securing the win with 393 votes.
The former WAFU Zone B President was spotted at the election grounds after reports broke out in the morning of him being hospitalized.
The by-election will be held on April 30, 2024.
