Kwame Yogot says he doesn’t sue musicians who steal his songs because he understands life and how it works.
According to him, suing colleagues will not profit him, thus, waste no time on filing court cases against them.
Speaking in an interview with Max Morning Show in Accra on Tuesday, the “Biibi Besi” hitmaker stated that life was about struggle and he wanted his colleagues to also get money to feed themselves and their family.
”I don’t see the need to sue them because I understand life. We all have to gain something for ends meet. I will never sue you but I will voice out for people to know that indeed you’re a thief; you stole my song,” he stated.
Kwame Yogot stated that “naming and shaming” was the only way he would avenge those who sample and steal his songs.
”I have plenty of bangers so if you’ve stolen some, I believe you also deserve to eat but I will make noise about stealing my song. I won’t take it personal to sue you. I believe the song Amerado stole from me, he would have bought 20 cars out of it,” he said.
