Accra Lions FC have confirmed the mutual departure of head coach Ibrahim Tanko, who steps aside to focus on other significant projects.
Tanko’s tenure has been instrumental in shaping the club’s growth and vision, earning widespread admiration for his dedication and impactful leadership. Reflecting on his journey, Tanko expressed pride in his contributions and emphasized his enduring connection with the team.
“While I am stepping away to focus on other projects, my bond with the team remains strong, and I will always be available to support the club,” Tanko stated.
In a smooth transition, the club has welcomed back German trainer Rainer Kraft, who brings extensive experience and a deep understanding of the Lions’ mission. Kraft, who previously guided the team to Ghana Premier League promotion during his first stint from 2019 to 2021, is poised to build on the club’s vision of nurturing talent and achieving competitive success.
