Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Aboubakar Ouattara, following the loss to Asante Kotoko in the return leg of the ‘Super Clash’, insisted he is not under any sort of pressure, but his team.
The Phobians were well beaten by Kotoko on Sunday afternoon at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, courtesy of Steve Dese Mukwala’s double.
In his post-match interview with StarTimes’ Nana Darkwa Gyasi, the Ivorian gaffer revealed he feels no pressure, but his team does, since they are fighting to beat the drop.
“No, I am not under pressure,” he said. “But you are the coach,” replied Nana Darkwa Gyasi.
“I am not under pressure; the team is under pressure. Don’t take me alone; take the team as a whole. We are under pressure because we need the points to survive,” he insisted.
He may be right in his assertions, as his men have performed poorly, especially in their last three games, resulting in the club’s danger of suffering relegation from Ghana’s top-flight league for the first time in its history.
