Michelle Agyemang produced a spectacular finish against Belgium on her debut for the Three Lionesses of England.
The Brighton and Hove Albion striker received a call-up from Sarina Wiegman to replace Alessio Russo ahead of the Women’s UEFA Nations League fixture against the Red Devils of Belgium.
Agyemang, 19, replaced Manchester City’s Jess Parker in the 79th minute and then pulled a second goal back for England when they were 3-1 down.
She had scored for England’s Under-19s in a 5-1 win against Austria on Saturday before staking her claim to be part of the 2025 European Championship.
“She is an absolute talent and is a very good number nine, but this is the first time she came into the squad,” said Wiegman after the game.
Michelle Agyemang will not forget this week any time soon.
