The nurse at the center of the alleged attack of social activist Ralph Saint Williams has no found not to have suffered any fracture or dislocation.
A committee set up by the minister of health, Hon. Kwabena Mintah Akandoh, to probe into the incident that occurred at the Ridge Hospital on Sunday, August 17, 2025, has presented its findings.
Dr. Lawrence Ofori-Boadu, the Chairman of the Committee, noted that the alleged victim, Rejoice Tsotso Bortei, a rotation nurse, reported her injuries a day after the assault.
Despite her reports, the official medical reports denoted otherwise. There was no sign of fracture in her left wrist or was her left shoulder dislocated. The findings clearly contradicted claims by the nurse and the hospital.
“Rejoice Tsotso Bortei, who is a rotation nurse, reported her injury to the hospital a day after the incident on the 18th of August and was further treated. There was no evidence of fracture on her left wrist or dislocation of her right shoulder joint as documented by the medical records.
“She has, however, been treated and given pain relief, recommended for bed rest, and received psychological support care,” the committee stated.
