BLACKSTARS: Patrick Pfeiffer joins FC Augsburg

Date:

Black Stars defender Patric Pfeiffer has joined Bundesliga club FC Augsburg on a four-year deal from Bundesliga 2 side Darmstadt.

The Ghanaian international was instrumental in Darmstadt’s promotion to the Bundesliga from Bundesliga 2.

The defender completed the 2022/23 Bundesliga 2 season as the team’s third-highest scorer with four goals, attracting the attention of top German clubs before putting pen to the FC Augsburg contract.

Pfeiffer missed out on Ghana coach Chris Hughton’s recent call-ups for the upcoming AFCON qualifier against Madagascar.
