Black Queens fail to make WAFCON 2026 XI

Date:

No player of the Black Queens of Ghana has made it on the best eleven of the 2026 WAFCON.

Ghana suffered elimination at the quarter-final stage of the competition after surrendering a 1-0 lead to debutants Malawi.

Winners Cameroon dominated the line-up with Michaelly Bihina, Myrian Myadjou, Monique Ngock and Marie Ngah included.

Runners-up Malawi also had the two sisters Tabitha Chawinga and Temwa Chawinga making the team.

Nouhaila Benzina and Hanane Ait El Haj were the Moroccan players selected, while Algeria’s representatives were Ines Bellomou and Marine Dafeur.

Zambian striker Barbara Banda completed the line-up.
