AFCON 2021: Milovan Rajevac names provisional 30-man squad

The Black Stars head coach, Milovan Rajevac has named a provisional 30-man squad to begin camping in Doha, Qatar ahead of the Africa Cup Of Nations to be held next month in Cameroon.

The squad features the likes of Andre Dede Ayew and his brother, Jordan Ayew, Rennes’ Kamaldeen Sulemana, Chelsea’s Baba Rahman and Dreams FC starlet Abdul Fatawu Issahaku.

Surprise entries for the camp include David Abagna Sandan of RTU, Abdul Mumin of Vitoria Guimarães, Salis Abdul Samed of Clermont Foot in France, Maxwell Abbey Quaye of Accra Great Olympics, Felix Afena-Gyan of Roma and Joseph Paintsil of Gent.

The injured Mohammed Kudus also makes the list.

Addressing the media, the GFA General Secretary, Henry Asante Twum highlighted the training camp will not allow media coverage as the team wants to intensively prepare for the tournament.
