Multiple award-winning Highlife musician Bisa Kdei has called for peace and unity among the people of Larteh Akuapem in the Eastern region following a dispute that erupted at the festival over the weekend.
According to him, lots of great people in the country hailed from Larteh and expressed the need for the indigenes to settle any dispute amicably among themselves for those who travelled for bread and butter to return home to develop the place.
Bisa Kdei made these calls during an exclusive interview on Max Morning Show in Accra on Monday.
”I don’t want anyone to fight at home. Home sweet home, so that we can come home. At this period, unity is important. We should all come together as one to build Larteh for the place to be well developed and beautiful for the world to hear our voices. There are lots of great people who hailed from Larteh; therefore, we should let peace and unity prevail,” he said.
Bisa Kdei’s call for unity comes after a clash between factions from Larteh Kubease and Larteh Aheneasé during festival activities on Saturday, October 3, 2026.
The tension flared between the two camps, leaving one person dead and several others injured, including a chief shot in the hand.
Security forces were therefore deployed to curtail the situation.
Currently, the chiefs and the people are working around the clock to settle that dispute and misunderstanding.
