Ghana is among the elite nations to have not yet conceded a goal at the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup.
The Black Stars of Ghana had two solid performances at the competition against Panama and England.
Against both countries, Ghana apparently allowed them to have the lion’s share of possession but refused to be beaten, hence producing great defensive displays.
Other countries privileged to be among this bracket or set with Ghana are Argentina, Spain, and Mexico.
Argentina, courtesy of the 39-year-old magician Lionel Messi, have scored five goals and conceded none.
Spain, on the other hand, was frustrated by tournament debutants Cape Verde in their opening game.
The small nation managed to keep the European champions at bay with a goalless draw.
In their next match, Saudi Arabia felt the full force of their frustration as they thrashed the oil-rich Gulf country 4-0.
The joint host country, Mexico, as rightly expected, is looking solid in the competition so far.
El Tri put South Africa to the sword, much to the delight of many other Africans (non-South Africans) in the opening game of the tournament before edging past South Korea next.
Ghana will be hoping to continue their good form in the next round of matches.
