Saudi Arabia head coach Herve Renard has been tipped once again to take over as head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana.
Renard, a two-time AFCON winner with Zambia and the Ivory Coast, has often been a favourite for the Ghana job since serving as an assistant to Claude Leroy in 2008.
The French gaffer is currently on his second stint as head coach of the Green Falcons of Saudi Arabia after leaving the senior women’s national team of France.
A 4-0 defeat to the Pharoahs of Egypt in an international friendly has led to Saudi football critics calling for his sack.
The majority of Saudi fans are calling for him to be replaced by former Morocco head coach Walid Regragui or Hussein Ammouta.
His departure will certainly open the door for him to finally return to Ghana after years of flirting.
