The Electoral Commission (EC) has attributed delays in the collation and declaration of results from Saturday’s presidential and parliamentary elections to large crowds at various collation centers.
Speaking at a 2 a.m. press conference at the EC headquarters in Accra, Samuel Tettey, the Deputy Chairman in charge of Operations, expressed concern that supporters were obstructing EC officials and disrupting their work.
Tettey urged supporters of all candidates and parties to avoid crowding collation centers, emphasizing that each candidate is adequately represented by their designated agents.
