Otto Addo, head coach of the Black Stars of Ghana, has dropped Arsenal star Thomas Partey from the squad to face Angola and Niger in the upcoming 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
With Ghana’s chances to book a ticket at the next Africa Cup of Nations tie set to be hosted by Morocco in 2025 after failing to win a single match in the qualifying series, Otto Addo has named a 25-man squad to salvage a bit of pride for the country.
Partey omitted from the squad in the last qualifiers, claiming to be sick, according to the Communication Director of the Ghana Football Association, Henry Asante Twum, which infuriated a score of Ghanaians.
Ghana will travel to Luanda to face Angola on November 15 before returning to Accra, Ghana, to take on Niger.
