2025 AFCONQ: Ghana vs. Niger Set for Accra Sports Stadium on November 18

Date:

Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations Matchday 6 qualifier against Niger is set for the Accra Sports Stadium on Monday, November 18, 2024.

The stadium, previously approved for the October qualifier against Sudan, will host the Black Stars as they aim for qualification to the 2025 AFCON tournament in Morocco.

Currently, Ghana sits third in Group F with 2 points, trailing group leaders Angola by 10 points and Sudan in second by 5 points.

Since the match against Sudan, the Accra Sports Stadium has been closed for league games due to ongoing refurbishments.

Ghana Premier League teams, including Accra Hearts of Oak, Accra Lions, and Dreams FC, have chosen alternative venues to help maintain the stadium’s condition for CAF approval ahead of the home match against Niger and the upcoming 2026 World Cup Qualifiers.
