Carabao Cup 2024-25: Quarter-final fixtures announced

The Carabao Cup Quarter-Final draw was announced late Wednesday on the EFL website, with matches set for the week commencing December 16.

Here is a full list of the quarter-final games:
Tottenham Hotspur vs Manchester United
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace
Newcastle United vs Brentford
Southampton vs Liverpool

Liverpool advanced to the quarterfinals, edging Brighton 3-2, with Cody Gakpo scoring twice.

Manchester United, led by interim manager Ruud van Nistelrooy, overpowered Leicester City 5-2, featuring a long-range opener from Casemiro.

Crystal Palace defeated Aston Villa 2-1 with goals from Eberechi Eze and Daichi Kamada. Newcastle United progressed after beating Chelsea 2-0, thanks to an Alexander Isak goal and an Axel Disasi own goal.

Arsenal cruised past Preston North End 3-0, with goals from Gabriel Jesus, 17-year-old Ethan Nwaneri, and Kai Havertz.
