Fast-rising musician, John Korbla Alatevi, known in the industry as Byno Ayoni, says his father’s rejection propelled him to become a great person in life.
According to him, he hasn’t harbored any bad feelings against his father and will gladly embrace his father if he comes to apologize.
Speaking in an interview with Max Drive in Accra on Monday, Byno Ayoni said that though his father abandoned him and his mother over his albinoism after his birth, he bore no grudge against him.
“His absence shaped me to be the man I am today. I feel that he also played his purpose: why God sent him to this earth as far as I am concerned,” he stated.
Byno Ayoni said he had already forgiven his father, and when he turned back, he would accept him but could not promise him of “father and son’s bonding.”
He further urged those who bore grudges against others to eschew bitterness, as those who had no purpose wasted their days on earth to hate others for their wrongs.
Byno Ayoni is a musician who hit the limelight after winning Season 12 of the music reality show Mentor.
He is currently signed on to rapper Edem’s VRMG (Volta Regime Music Group) record label and has released more than three songs, including “Stand Firm” and “I Dey Like,” under the label.
